Class 10 Update

21st October 2016

Class 10 have made a fantastic start to year 4. Our topic has been ‘The Butterfly Lion’, an exciting story written by Michael Morpurgo. We have loved reading this story and I know that the children are sad to see the end of this topic. Within this story, the children have had the opportunity to learn about life during World War 1, explore Africa and looked at the pros and cons of keeping animals in captivity. They have created brilliant pieces of writing and art along the way, some of which can be found around our classroom. The children have worked extremely hard covering new areas in Maths. They have particularly enjoyed challenging themselves with problem solving activities, some of which we showed during our parents share and stay. Additionally, we have all had lots of fun listening to, learning and performing Mamma Mia by Abba, also learning some new vocabulary in French. This half term during PE, the children have had the opportunity to go swimming and play Unihoc, which they have loved. We are all very excited to see what the next half term has to offer.
